After forty-two years in the hospitality industry, eight of them in The Leopard, I  have retired due to ill health.

Myself and my family would like to thank EVERYONE who supported the pub: every customer, all of you who befriended both myself and all of my family, each of you who came through our door, made our time in both the pub and the village of Tutbury fantastic and memorable.

I would also like to thank all the fantastic bands that have brought a wide range of live music to our customers, all the local businesses whose services we used, or who used ours, and all who contributed, in so many ways, to our lovely, family run, community pub.

It has been one hell of a ride: we have laughed (a lot), cried (a little), shared in the celebrations of friends, neighbours and customers, indeed we were lucky enough to host a number of parties for a great many people.  We also, sadly, bid a fond farewell to a few unforgettable characters.  We hosted two Oscareque Award Ceremonies, made our way in CAMRA's Good Beer Guide,   organised special themed nights and tried to make sure our customers had a good time.  Sometimes we even sweated blood too!

I am glad (and proud) that The Leopard is my last pub, as it's been the one I have loved the most, in a beautiful village with a great sense of community and wonderful people.  As a result of all that I will cherish the many memories we have made at The Leopard and we hope we will see you again to catch up, have a drink or two and chat about our memories.

This website will remain live as there is content on here that I will enjoy looking back on, and hopefully our customers will too.

Many thanks and much love everyone,

Kaz  (now Ex) Landlady

The Leopard was SPOT ON!
