ALL THINGS LEOPARD!

Here's where we provide you with a little more information about our venue, including it's history & ours.

Before we take a trip down the memory lane signposted 'The Leopard', please have a look at these photos

Hopefully they will give you a  'feel' for

The Leopard

My family and I came to The Leopard on June 4th 2010. My eldest daughter, Sadie (Leopard Bartender/Chef) & Son-In-Law Chris (Mr D) had already given me a grandson. Jodie, my daughter was working in Surrey, and Callum (aka 'The Boy', Leopard Bartender & 'Cellar Monkey' )was just 16 at the time.   There are a few more of us now though, as I have gained a new son-in-law, Mark, and three more grandchildren.  The Leopard is our family home as well as being a family run pub.

We look forward to seeing you!

The Leopard

The Leopard is situated in the shadow of the famous Castle and close to St. Mary's church, in the historic village of Tutbury.

The village boasts it's own museum, a market is held four times a year and there's good  shopping opportunities on the High Street too.

The Leopard began life as four cottages. In the late 1800s the first of these cottages (what is now our pool room) became an ale house & beer was brewed 'on site', the original maltings building remains to this day. As the cottages became available for sale, each became part of the pub. From the independent ale house owner & brewer (a lady called Sarah) the pub has been owned by serveral breweries and The Leopard is now tied to Marston's.
